Just like my grandmother made it! Serves 8

Recipe Ingredients for Mimi's Mac & Cheese

2 1/2 cups cheddar cheese
2 cups non fat cottage cheese
1 cup low fat sour cream
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tbsp. garlic salt
8 oz penne, cooked and drained

Recipe Directions for Mimi's Mac & Cheese

  1. Combine cottage cheese, sour cream, egg, and garlic salt. (Add black pepper to taste as well, if you wish.)

  2. Shred cheddar and add; mix well.

  3. Add macaroni and stir until coated thoroughly.

  4. Transfer to a greased rectangular baking dish.

  5. Bake uncovered 25-30 min at 350.
