Millet Bread Recipe

Makes 12 servings



A cornbread-like, mildly sweet quickbread made with millet flour for a nice change. Very tender crumb. Still good cold, but best while warm (though it's more crumbly then!).

Recipe Ingredients for Millet Bread

1 cup millet flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 egg
3 tablespoons oil
1 cup milk
1/4 cup honey

Recipe Directions for Millet Bread

  1. Sift (or mix) dry ingredients together in a large bowl.

  2. Add egg, oil, milk, honey. Mix well.

  3. Pour into greased 8" square pan.

  4. Bake in a 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes.
