4 tbsp butter
4 tbsp flour
2 cups milk
1 Salt
1 Pepper

Recipe Directions for Milk Gravy (White Sauce)

  1. Melt Butter over low heat; add flour, salt and pepper; siir until well blended. Remove from heat.

  2. Gradually stir in milk and return to heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick and smooth. Makes 2 cups (1/4 c per serving).

  3. Variation: Add hard-boiled eggs and thin chip beef to serve over toast.
