Creamy milk gravy to be served over bread.

Recipe Ingredients for Milk Gravy

2 tbs lard
2 tbs flour
4 slices Maple Flavored Bacon
2 slices Bread, Whole-wheat, Commercially Prepared
1 cups milk

Recipe Directions for Milk Gravy

  1. Fry bacon nice and crispy. Remove bacon leaving grease in the pan. Remove pan from heat mix in flour to a thick but still flowing roux. Return to heat and stir in milk. Cook over medium heat, adding salt and pepper to taste. Stir continuously until gravy thickens, if mixture too thick add more milk until desired consistency is acheived. . Cook one or two more minutes, then serve.

  2. To Serve:

  3. Crumble 2 slices of bacon over slice of toast, spoon a couple of spoons of gravy over bacon and toast until covered. Place other piece of toast on top, cover with remaining gravy then crumble remaining bacon over top.
