Fat substitute brownies using a "prune butter." Turned out very rubbery and a distinct cooked fruit taste. Did not rise at all. Very dense.

Recipe Ingredients for Milk Chocolate Prune Brownies

3 3/10 oz pitted prunes
2 1/5 oz water, boiling
142 g granulated sugar
85 g egg whites
2 tsp vanilla extract
94 g flour
43 g cocoa powder
18 g dry milk solids

Recipe Directions for Milk Chocolate Prune Brownies

  1. Blend prunes in a food processor and add water till mixture becomes smooth paste. 9 oz pitted prunes to 6 oz boiling water.

  2. Mix wet ingredients

  3. then add all dry ingredients

  4. Bake at 325 for 25-30 mins

  5. muffin tins or in 8" pan
