Recipe Ingredients for Milk Chocolate Florentines

2/3 cup country crock
2 cups quick-cooking oats
1 cup No Calorie Sweetener
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar free syrup
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
12 ounce NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Milk Chocolate Morsels
1 Cooking Spray Regular Flavour Non-Stick

Recipe Directions for Milk Chocolate Florentines

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line 2 cookie sheets with aluminum foil and grease the foil with non stick spray.

  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the country crock.

  3. Stir together the oats, flour, salt and sweetener; mix into the melted margarine until well blended.

  4. Stir in the syrup, milk and vanilla.

  5. Drop batter by teaspoonfuls 3 inches apart onto the prepared cookie sheets.

  6. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes in the preheated oven, until medium brown.

  7. Cool completely before removing from the cookie sheets.

  8. In the microwave or in a metal bowl over a pan of simmering water, melt chocolate chips, stirring frequently until smooth. Remove from heat.

  9. Spread chocolate onto the bottoms of cookies and sandwich them together.
