Reduced calorie and fat pepper steak. Use as much fresh ground black pepper as you like.

Recipe Ingredients for Mike's Pepper Steak

1 pound sirloin steak
1 red bell pepper
1 orange bell pepper
1/2 large onion
10 ounce mushroom stems and pieces
2 tbs flour
2 tbs soy sauce
1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
10 ounce vegetable broth
2 chicken bouillon cubes
3 tbs olive oil

Recipe Directions for Mike's Pepper Steak

  1. Cut sirloin into thin strips. Slice peppers into thin strips. Slice onion in half and slice thin.

  2. Heat oil in dutch oven over medium high heat. Add beef to hot pan, brown slightly. Add peppers, onion, and garlic, and the sauces. Reduce heat and cook over medium heat until peppers begin to get soft. Add liquid from mushrooms, bouilion cubes, and vegetable broth. Reduce heat to simmer and let cooks about 20 minutes. Mix flour with 1/4 cup water in shaker and add to mixture. Bring to a boil to thicken. Remove from heat. Serve over brown rice.
