The amount of whole berries in the sauce depends on cooking time. More cooking time gives less intact berries and a more jelly-like sauce. Add 1/4 cup more splenda for a sweet sauce or 1/4 cup less for a tart sauce.

Recipe Ingredients for Mike's Cranberries

1 lb of fresh cranberries
1/2 cup of water
15 grams splenda (3/4 cup)
1 tsp of ground cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Mike's Cranberries

Combine the cranberries and water in a medium sauce pan. Heat water to boiling. As cranberries start to pop the liquid will become redder and thicker. When the liquid reaches the desired level of thickness, turn off heat. Add splenda and cinnamon and stir until it is all dissolved. Upon refrigeration cranberry sauce will partially gel to a thick sauce.
