Based on arabicbites.blogspot.com. A bit of a twist than traditional Arabic kofta. I'm guessing the saltine crackers are a substitute for the nuts. Change recipe as you may if you're an expert cook and have made it before. Please mail me on how you changed your recipe!

Recipe Ingredients for Middle Eastern Kofta

1 kg ground beef
1/2 cup light mayonnaise
1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 cup saltine crackers, crushed
1 tbs salt
1 tbs ground pepper
1 egg

Recipe Directions for Middle Eastern Kofta

  1. Combine ground beef, light mayonnaise, fresh parsely, lemon juice, egg, saltine cracker crumbs, any seasonings you may add, salt and pepper in a large bowl

  2. Using floured hands, roll 1-2 tablespoons of mixture into thick short rolls or kofta

  3. Cooking option: fry, shallow fry, boil, roast, or may be used in stew. Cooking time may very depending on method.

  4. Enjoy!
