Recipe Ingredients for Middle Eastern Kibbeh

2/3 cup wheat,bulger
1 cup mint leaves
1 large onion
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp allspice
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 1/2 lbs ground beef,lean
3 tbsp olive oil

Recipe Directions for Middle Eastern Kibbeh

  1. Place Bulger wheat in a microwave safe pan and cover with water just to the top of the bulgar.Place in microwave and cook on high for 1 to 2 minutes so the bulgar has swollen and the water is absorbed.Toss lightly and allow to stand and kool.

  2. Mix all the spices and chopped ingredients to the groung Lamb or beef.

  3. Make into 4 patties

  4. Place olive oil in bottom of skillet on medium heat

  5. Cook till light brown on each side .Approx. 6 minutes per side.Serve

  6. Can also bake in the oven@ 350 degrees for 35-40 mins or until golden brown.
