You can't get much quicker or easier than this! Seven minutes flat and you're done. It was still rather sweet - you could cut the sugar to 1/2 cup for less calories.

Recipe Ingredients for Microwave Cranberry Sauce

12 oz fresh cranberries
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup water

Recipe Directions for Microwave Cranberry Sauce

  1. Put all ingredients in a large microwave-proof bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and poke a few holes in the wrap to vent (so your microwave doesn't get splashed red).

  2. Microwave on high for four minutes and then stir.

  3. Microwave another three minutes and you're finished! Refrigerate the sauce overnight and enjoy.
