Makes 14 servings



1 cup servings. I used light-butter microwave popcorn but the analyzer used air-popped corn for the nutritional facts so the numbers may be off a little.

Recipe Ingredients for Microwave Caramel Corn

14 cups popcorn, popped
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup butter

Recipe Directions for Microwave Caramel Corn

  1. Place 12-14 cups popped popcorn in large paper bag.

  2. In microwavable bowl combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and baking soda. Add butter stick and microwave for 2 minutes or until butter is melted.

  3. Pour over popcorn in bag and shake.

  4. Microwave for 1 minute and shake.

  5. Repeat.

  6. Microwave 30 seconds and pour into very large bowl or spread out on parchment or waxed paper. Break it apart after it cools.
