Recipe Ingredients for Mexican Tomato Sauce

1 cup onion, chopped
1 tsp garlic, minced
4 oz. green chilies, canned & diced
411 grams canned tomatoes
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp celery salt
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

Recipe Directions for Mexican Tomato Sauce

  1. Saute onion and galic in a little pam.

  2. Once golden, add green chilies and tomatoes.

  3. Mix throuroughly. Add spices.

  4. Simmer until reduced, about 10 minutes. (If desired, add thin strips of beef filet while simmering to cook for nachos or tacos.
