Mexican gravy is eaten with tortilla chips as an appetizer or main dish. Gravy can be Mild, Medium or Hot depending on the Mexican sauce selections.

Recipe Ingredients for Mexican Gravy

1 oz. cream of celery
1 oz. cream of mushroom
1 oz. cream of chicken
1 oz. enchilada sauce
1 oz. taco sauce
1 oz. cooked hamburger meat

Recipe Directions for Mexican Gravy

  1. To a crock pot add the following ingredients:

  2. 1 - 10 oz. can of Cream of Celery

  3. 1 - 10 oz. can of Cream of Mushroom

  4. 1 - 10 oz. can of Cream of Chicken

  5. 1 - 12 oz. can of Enchilada Sauce

  6. 1 - 12 oz. bottle Taco Sauce

  7. Let simmer on low heat.

  8. Brown 2 lbs of hamburger meat and drain off grease. Break meat into small piece for easier eating.

  9. After crock pot ingredients are hot, add the browned, ground hamburger and mix thoroughly.

  10. Allow to simmer for another 30 minutes and serve with Tortilla chips for dipping.
