NOTE: If you use Minute or instant brown rice, it will take about 10-15 minutes to cook.

Recipe Ingredients for Mexican Brown Rice

1/2 cup brown rice
1/2 cup salsa
2 tsp Chicken Boullion granules
2 1/3 cup water (check the directions for your rice. for 1/2 cup of rice for me it's 2 1/3 cup water)

Recipe Directions for Mexican Brown Rice

  1. Mix rice, salsa, chicken bouillon granules and water in sauce pan.

  2. Cook on high until it comes to a boil and then lower the temperature to low. Let it cook until water has evaporated. Make sure to watch the rice at the end so that it doesn't burn on the bottom.

  3. NOTE: If you use Minute or instant brown rice, it will take about 10-15 minutes to cook.

  4. Number of Servings: 2
