Simple little brown rice recipe to accompany a meat dish.

Recipe Ingredients for Mexican Brown Rice

1 cup brown rice
28 ounces stewed tomatoes
15 ounces kidney beans
1 medium yellow onion
3 cloves garlic
2 tbls chili powder
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon oregano

Recipe Directions for Mexican Brown Rice

  1. Drain and rinse beans

  2. Drain Tomatoes

  3. Follow cooking instructions for rice

  4. When rice is mostly done add the remaining ingredients

  5. Finish cooking until almost all water is absorbed.
