Recipe Ingredients for MERINGUE, Praline

3 egg whites
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 c brown sugar, packed

Recipe Directions for MERINGUE, Praline

  1. optional ingredients:

  2. 1/2 c chopped pecans

  3. 1 pint vanilla ice milk or ice cream

  4. Heat oven to 350 and line sheet with parchment paper.

  5. Beat egg whites w/ cream of tartar until frothly; gardually add brown sugar, continually beating until stiff peaks form.

  6. (Fold in pecans)

  7. For individual meringue shells by spooning about 1/3 c meringue onto parchment, and make deep well in center of each shell, gently building up sides w/ back of spoon and forming 3 in circles.

  8. Bake at 250 for 1 hour. Turn off oven, leave shells in oven for door closed for about 2 hrs. Remove from oven. Let cool completely on paper.

  9. To serve place peach slices in merigne shells; top with ice milk
