Hearty stew great for winter dinners ( a PC recipe from pc.ca)

Recipe Ingredients for Memories of Lyon Beef Stew

2 lb beef, eye of round, cut in 1" cubes
1 1/2 cups PC memories of Lyon sauce (equals 1 350ml bottle)
2 cups beef broth, low sodium
1 cup celery, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 cup carrots, chopped
2 tbsp flour
2 tbsp olive oil
2 potatoes, cut into bite-sized pieces

Recipe Directions for Memories of Lyon Beef Stew

  1. Flour the beef cubes and shake off any excess.

  2. Heat olive oil in a pan and sear beef in batches until well browned.

  3. Remove browned beef from pan and put in slow cooker.

  4. Add 1 cup of broth to pan and stir to get any browned bits, then pour into slow cooker with beef.

  5. Add Memories of Lyon Sauce.

  6. use remaining broth to rinse out sauce bottle and then add to cooker with vegetables and mix well.

  7. Cook on LOW for approximately 8 hours.
