Fresh Tomato Sauce to be used as a sauce base or just by itself over pasta with parmesan cheese.

Recipe Ingredients for Mel's Marinara

6 1/2 pounds Tomatoes, crushed
3 cups Onions, chopped
2 tbsp Garlic, Chopped
3 tbsp Sugar
1 can Tomato Paste
1/4 cup Fresh Basil, chopped
1 tsp dry basil
1 tbsp Kosher Salt

Recipe Directions for Mel's Marinara

Saute onions and garlic in a little olive oil until onions are soft. Add dry basil,salt and sugar. Mix. Add tomato paste and mix to combine. Add crushed tomatoes. Stew on medium heat until desired thickness. Add fresh basil to finish.
