Recipe Ingredients for Mel's Apple Blueberry Cobbler

1/4 cup flour
1 tbsp canola oil
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp flour
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp cinnamon
4 cups apples, sliced
1/8 cup blueberries
1 slice wheat bread
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp canola oil
2 tbsp walnuts, chopped

Recipe Directions for Mel's Apple Blueberry Cobbler

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

  2. Mix flour, canola oil, a pinch of salt, and 2 tsp water.

  3. Roll out dough, line 8 inch loaf pan with it.

  4. Mix sugar, flour and nutmeg.

  5. Mix dry mixture with apples.

  6. pour apple mixture into pastry-lined loaf pan, top with blueberries.

  7. Tear wheat bread into 4 pieces and shred into crumbs in food processor. Mix bread crumbs with brown sugar, oil, and walnuts.

  8. Top cobbler with crumb topping.

  9. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes, removing foil for the last 15 minutes. Bake until apples begin to bubble.
