Melon Sorbet Recipe

You can use any melon in this recipe! Recipe is from my CSa Farm, Terra Firma. I cut the recipe in half.

Recipe Ingredients for Melon Sorbet

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cantaloupe, seeded, peeled and pureed in blender
3 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp lemon zest

Recipe Directions for Melon Sorbet

  1. Make simple syrup by combining sugar and water and heating in a pot until the sugar dissolves.

  2. Remove from heat and prepare cantaloupe.

  3. Add the syrup, lemon juice, and lemon zest to the cantaloupe puree.

  4. Refrigerate mix for 1 hour.

  5. Put in ice cream maker and process until thick.

  6. *Make sure mix is cold or you will get a slushie*
