Recipe Ingredients for Meli's Texas Chili Con Carne

2 lbs round steak, ground
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 tsp garlic, minced
6 oz tomato paste, no salt added
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cilantro leaves
1 tsp cumin, ground
1/2 tsp oregano leaves
2 tbs chili powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tsp red pepper
1 cup beer
2 cups water

Recipe Directions for Meli's Texas Chili Con Carne

Brown meat in a large 4 qt. sauce pan. Add all other ingredients, mix well, and cover. Simmer 45 minutes, adding more water as needed to prevent drying out and burning.
