Recipe Ingredients for Mediterranean shrimp with bulgur

16 oz Shrimp, Mixed Species
2 cup (8 fl oz) Water
8 oz Bulgur (ALA) from Hard Red Wheat
0.5 cup, chopped Onions
2 oz Wine
7 serving Diced Basil Garlic and Oregano Tomatoes
3 tbsp Parsley
1 tbsp, drained Capers, Canned
0.25 tsp Pepper, Black
0.5 cup Traditional Feta Crumbled
0.13 tsp The Original Pizza Peppers Crushed Chile Flakes

Recipe Directions for Mediterranean shrimp with bulgur

  1. In a 2-qt sauce pan, heat water to boiling. Add bulgur, reduce heat to low. Cover, simmer about 12 mins. or until water is absorbed.

  2. Meanwhile, heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion,cook about 4 mins,.stirring occasionally, until tender. Stir in wine, cook 1 min., stirring frequently.

  3. Stir tomatoes, 1 1/2 T of the parsley, capers, black pepper & red pepper flakes into onion. Cook 3 mins. Stir in shrimp. Cover, cook 4-5 mins. or until shrimp are pink.

  4. Stir cooked bulgur into shrimp mixture. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover, cook 2 mins. Sprinkle with remaining 1 1/2 T of parsley.
