Prepare tapenade separately for use in this recipe. Olives and olive oil are included only to complete the nutritinal information, they are not a part of this recipe - they come from the tapenade.

Recipe Ingredients for Mediterranean Sandwich

2 slices whole wheat bread
2 tbsp black olive
2 oz. deli turkey
1/4 cup sliced red onion
1/2 fresh sliced tomato (plum)
3 romaine lettuce leaves
1/2 cup sliced banana
1/2 tsp olive oil

Recipe Directions for Mediterranean Sandwich

Spread each slice of bread with 1 tbs tapenade. Top one slice with turkey, onion, tomato and lettuce. Place second slice on top to complete sandwich. Serve with banana on side.
