Thick and not as tomato-ey as regular chili - great for protein!!

Recipe Ingredients for Meaty, Thick Chili

5 lbs. lean ground beef
10 oz. tomato sauce
15 oz. kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 medium green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
1 medium red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
3/4 cup chili powder
1 cup water

Recipe Directions for Meaty, Thick Chili

  1. Place ground beef in large pot over med-high heat. Cook and crumble until evenly browned.

  2. Drain off grease.

  3. Place the pot over medium heat and add garlic, green and red bell peppers and kidney beans. Cook and stir for a few minutes.

  4. Stir in tomato sauce and water.

  5. Season with chili powder.

  6. Simmer, uncovered, over low heat for 40 minutes.
