A savory rice with TVP, veggies, and herbs.

Recipe Ingredients for "Meaty" Rice Mix

1 cup dry minute brown rice
1/3 cup dry TVP
2 cups water
3 medium mushrooms
4 pieces undried tomato
3 leaves basil, fresh
1/4 cup fresh parsley

Recipe Directions for "Meaty" Rice Mix

  1. Boil water.

  2. In the meantime, chop last 4 ingredients.

  3. When brought to a boil, add rice, TVP, mushrooms and tomatoes.

  4. Boil for 3-5 mins, stirring frquently.

  5. Cover and simmer until most of the water is absorbed.

  6. Add herbs, stir, remove from heat and cover.

  7. Allow to sit for 5 mins before serving.
