Easy, homemade meatloaf with a yummy thick ketchup sauce

Recipe Ingredients for Meatloaf

671 grams lean ground beef
1 large egg
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup onion
1 tbsp parsley
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp minced garlic
1/3 cup fat free milk
1 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 tbsp ketchup
3/4 cup ketchup
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 packet dry onion soup mix

Recipe Directions for Meatloaf

Thaw ground beef if frozen. Place meat in mixing bowl and add all ingredients. Using your hands, knead the ingredients together until well blended. Place in oven safe dish (high sides) in an oval form (so it looks like a lump of bread dough). Mix ketchup and sugar together. Heat up oven to 375 degrees. when heated up, pour half of the sauce on the meatloaf. Place in oven with the lid for 45 min. Take meatloaf out, suction off any fat on the bottom of the dish. Pour remaining sauce on top. Place back in oven for 30 minutes with the lid. Remove the lid for the last 10 minutes (cook time 90 minutes total). Sauce should be thick and meat should be cooked through.
