This is Lilly's recipe but with oats instead. Ground Chuck or leaner is best. ( she used 1/2 beef & 1/2 pork) Also is good if you put 1/2 peeled potatoes along side for cooking as the tomato taste is nice. Suggestion: only as many potatoes as you will eat. They don't seem as good as left overs. .

Recipe Ingredients for Meatloaf

2 pounds ground beef
1 garlic clove
1 med onion
1 1/2 cup oats
10 3/4 oz cream of mushroom soup
28 oz tomatoes

Recipe Directions for Meatloaf

  1. oven 350 degrees for 1-1/2 hours

  2. mix all ingredients together using half of the tomatoes w/ part of juice and form into two loafs in a 9x13 pan

  3. after one hour, pour remaining tomatoes and juice over for final cooking time.
