This dish can be made to your taste preference by altering the amount, more or less, of the beans, onion and/or cheese. You could also add a bit of garlic to your taste.

Recipe Ingredients for Meatloaf, with cheese

1 egg
3 tbsp barbecue sauce
1 1/2 lbs hamburger, extra lean
3 tbsp bread crumbs
3 tbsp parmesan cheese
8 oz baked beans, Heinz
1 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
1 oz mozzarella, partly skimmed, shredded
1 oz swiss cheese, light, shredded
1/2 c onion, finely chopped

Recipe Directions for Meatloaf, with cheese

  1. Mix egg & barbecue sauce together.

  2. Add hamburger, breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese

  3. Mix together

  4. Fold in baked beans

  5. Put half the meat mixture in casserole dish.

  6. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella & cheddar cheese together in a layer on top (leaf 1/2 inch around the edge)

  7. Put the rest of the meat mixture on top and press into loaf shape leaving a well around the outside of the loaf
