Recipe Ingredients for Meatloaf with Brown Rice and Sugar-Free Ketchup

400 grams Beef, Ground, 85% Lean Meat / 15% Fat, Loaf
0.67 small Onions
3 cloves Garlic
3/4 cup Rice, Brown, Medium-grain, Cooked
330 grams Passata Italian Sauce
40 grams Vinegar, Cider
30 grams Honey
1 tsp Sea Salt

Recipe Directions for Meatloaf with Brown Rice and Sugar-Free Ketchup

  1. NOTE: While recipe calls for 400g beef, it requires 500g raw which will turn out to be about 400g cooked.

  2. Use Passata sauce, vinegar, honey and sea salt to make sugar-free ketchup with my recipe for sugar-free honey ketchup.

  3. Preheat oven to 350F, 175C.

  4. Dice onion. Mince 1-3 cloves garlic.

  5. Thoroughly mix all ingredients, except 15mL ketchup, and any spices (I like to use sea salt, black pepper, oregano and marjoram) you like in mixing bowl.

  6. Place mixture in 5"x9" loaf pan.

  7. Bake 30 minutes.

  8. Remove pan from oven and drain off extra fat.

  9. Cover meatloaf with remainder of ketchup.

  10. Bake 15 more minutes.

  11. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
