Meatballs from Better Homes & Gardens Cookbook (pg 381)

Recipe Ingredients for Meatballs for Spaghetti

1 egg
3/4 c soft bread criumbs
1/4 c onion
2 tbsp green sweet pepper
1/4 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp salt
12 oz 95% lean ground beef

Recipe Directions for Meatballs for Spaghetti

  1. In a large bowl, combine 1 egg; 3/4 cup soft bread crumbs; 1/4 cup finely chopped onion; 2 tablespoons finely chopped green sweet pepper; 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano; and 1/4 teaspoon salt.

  2. Add 12 ounces ground beef; mix well.

  3. Shape into 24 meatballs.

  4. Arrange meatballs in a 15x10x1 inch baking pan.

  5. Bake in 350 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until done (160 degrees).

  6. Drain.

  7. Serve with sauce and hot pasta.
