Recipe Ingredients for Meatballs

1 kg Ground Beef
1 1/2 cups Bread Crumbs
4 Egg Whites
2 tbsp Parsley
1 tsp Black Pepper
1 tsp Garlic Powder
680 ml Tomato Sauce
1594 ml Tomatoes, Diced
350 g Mushrooms
2 1/2 cups onion
2 Bell Peppers
2 tbsp Oregano
4 tbsp Parsley
1 cup water

Recipe Directions for Meatballs

  1. Mix Ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, garlic, parsley & pepper by hand till you reach a smooth and sticky consistancey.

  2. Dice mushrooms, celery, & peppers and throw in a sauce pan with minced garlic & water. Simmer 5-10 mins and add tomato paste. Simmer 10 mins till paste is evenly distibuted (add more water if necessary). Add Diced tomatoes & tomato sauce.

  3. In large duch oven (I actually use my big crock pot insert) layer tomato sauce, then meatballs, tomato sauce, then meatballs etc. Till you have covered all the meatballs in sauce.

  4. Bake in the oven at 375 for 2-3 hours. The meatballs should be cooked through, mid way through baking you can easily stir the meatballs & sauce (be gentle so you son't smash up the uncooked meatballs) to make sure they cook evenly.
