Rachel Ray 30 Minute Meals Comfort Foods pg. 34 Substituting veal mince for 1/2 pound ground sirloin & 1/2 pound ground pork omitted fresh parsley Substituted Pasta Sauce for Pizza Sauce. ADD 2 PINCHES (1/16 TSP) CRUSHED RED PEPPER FLAKE ADD 3 PINCHES DRIED OREGANO BLACK PEPPER TO TASTE APPROX 2 1/3 OUNCE OF WEIGHT WHEN SERVED SHOULD BE SAUCE.

Recipe Ingredients for MEATBALL BURGERS

16 ounces Veal
1 large egg
5 grams Minced Garlic
59 grams romano cheese
8 oz organic mozzarella
14 oz Bertolli Sauce Tomato and Basil
1/2 cup Bread Crumbs Italian Style

Recipe Directions for MEATBALL BURGERS

  1. COMBINE MEAT WITH EGG, GARLIC, PARMESAN, RED PEPPER FLAKE, BREAD CRUMBS, OREGANO, AND BLACK PEPPER. FORM INTO PATTIES

  2. PREHEAT NONSTICK SKILLET OVER MED-HI HEAT. COOK PATTIES 6-8 MINUTES A SIDE AND REMOVE FROM PAN. ADD IN SAUCE AND HEAT THROUGH. ADD PATTIES BACK INTO PAN, COOK 1 MINUTE ASIDE IN SAUCE. ON SECOND SIDE TOP WITH MOZZARELLA, COVER TILL CHEESE MELTS.
