Recipe Ingredients for Meat stuffed bell peppers

1 c brown rice
1 tsp Salt
4 green peppers
3 T Olive oil
1 medium onion
2 Eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 t Dried oregano
8 oz. lean ground beef
1 tsp Black pepper
8 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 c Worcestershire sauce

Recipe Directions for Meat stuffed bell peppers

  1. Cook the rice per package directions, yielding 1 cup of hot cooked rice.

  2. Cut the tops of the peppers off and scoop out the seeds. Steam the peppers in a large pot for about ten minutes.

  3. Meanwhile, cut onions and put them into a large skillet with the ground beef and cook until brown. Add salt, oregano, pepper and Worcestershire sauce.

  4. Turn off the heat and stir in the rice, egg and most of the cheese.

  5. Scoop the mixture into the steamed peppers and top with the remaining cheese.

  6. Bake at 375 about 25 minutes.
