Put this loaf along side of steamed broccolli or carrots on a cold winter evening. A dash of cayenne pepper adds a little extra heat.

Recipe Ingredients for Meat and Potato - Loaf

3/4 pound ground beef, extra lean
1 1/2 cups potato, shredded
1/4 cup ketchup
1 large egg
1 tsp. onion powder
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

Recipe Directions for Meat and Potato - Loaf

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

  2. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.

  3. Place mixed ingredients into pre-greased loaf pan.

  4. Cover loosley with foil and bake for 20 minutes.

  5. Remove foil and continue baking for a further 15 minutes or until meat thermometer reads 160 F.
