Lean ground beef cooked in a casserole dish.

Recipe Ingredients for Meat Loaf

4/5 lb. lean ground beef
1 1/2 servings Hunt's tomato sauce
5 servings saltines
1 large egg
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder

Recipe Directions for Meat Loaf

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

  2. Grease 1.5 quart casserole dish.

  3. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. (Using your hands produces the best result).

  4. Transfer mixture to casserole dish and distribute evenly into a loaf shape.

  5. Bake for 20-30 minutes covered at 425 degrees.
