Better Homes & Gardens Meat Loaf (page 361)

Recipe Ingredients for Meat Loaf

2 beaten eggs
3/4 cup milk
2/3 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
2 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp crushed oregano
24 oz ground beef
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp dry mustard

Recipe Directions for Meat Loaf

  1. In a bowl combine eggs and milk

  2. Stir in bread crumbs, onion, parsley, salt, oregano, and 1/8 tsp black pepper

  3. Add meat; mix well

  4. Lightly pat mixture into a 8X4X2 inch loaf pan

  5. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 to 1 1/4 hours or until internal temperature registers 160 degrees

  6. Spoon off fat

  7. In a bowl combine ketchup, sugar and mustard

  8. Spread over meat

  9. Bake for 10 minutes more

  10. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving
