Meat lasagna made simple. Make sure you use "oven ready" pasta and so you don't need to boil it. It makes it a lot easier and less of a hassle.

Recipe Ingredients for Meat lasagna

1 pound ground beef
26 ounce marinara sauce
8 ounce tomato sauce
15 ounce ricotta cheese
1 large egg
1/2 tsp dry basil
1/2 tsp dry oregano
277 g dry lasagna
4 cups mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Meat lasagna

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees

  2. in a large skillet cook meat until browned

  3. remove excess oil

  4. add your favorite spaghetti sauce

  5. heat on low

  6. in a small bowl stir together ricotta cheese, egg basil and oregano

  7. in 13x9 dish spread 3/4 cup meat sauce on bottom

  8. add 3 pieces of UNCOOKED lasagna pasta crosswise over sauce (don't overlap)

  9. spread 2/3 cup ricotta mixture evenly over pasta

  10. spread 3/4 meat sauce

  11. sprinkle 1 cup mozzarella

  12. Repeat: pasta, ricotta, meat two more times

  13. top with 3 pasta pieces

  14. spread last of meat sauce

  15. sprinkle mozzarella

  16. sprinkle parmesan

  17. cover with foil and bake for 30 min

  18. makes 12 servings
