Recipe Ingredients for Meat Lasagna

28 oz Tomatoes
6 clove Garlic
28 oz Original Diced Tomatoes
1 tbsp Olive Oil
1 tablespoon Oregano
15 oz Ricotta, Part Skim Milk Cheese
16 oz Mozzarella, Part Skim Milk Cheese
12 pc Lasagna Noodles
5 link Lean Turkey Italian Sausage
1 large Egg, Whole
1.25 cup Parmesan, Grated Cheese
2 tbsp chopped Shallots

Recipe Directions for Meat Lasagna

  1. Sauce: Saute shallot in olive oil for 2 minutes, add crushed garlic. saute for 1 minutes more. add tomatoes, oregano, salt and pepper to taste, and red pepper flakes. simmer 25 minutes.

  2. Lasagna: Preheat over 375 degrees. filling: mix ricotta, egg and 1 cup of parmesan together with spices.

  3. Assembly: place 1/4 sauce at bottom of roasting pan. place 3 noodles. put about 3 tbsp of ricotta mix on noodles and spread evenly. top with 1 cup shredded cheese then 1.5 cups of sauce. repeat layers two more times. final layer top with noodles, rest of sauce, and cheese. Spray tinfoil with vegetable oil spray and cover pan. put in hot oven for 15 minutes, then remove and bake for another 25.
