Recipe from back of seasoning packet by McCormicks for vegetable beef stew. CC did not recognize the seasoning, which adds 10 calories to each serving along with 540 mg of sodium. Also I used 2 cups of potatoes rather than 1 (per the package) because that was what one medium potato chopped up turned into. Didn't have a use for 1/2 of a potato so wanted to use it up.

Recipe Ingredients for McCormicks Slow Cooker Vegetable Beef Stew

1 lb. stew beef, well-trimmed, cut into 3/4 inch cubes
14 1/2 oz diced tomatoes, undrained
1 c. carrots, sliced
2 c. potatoes, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
1 c. frozen cut green beans
1/2 c. onion, chopped
3 c. water

Recipe Directions for McCormicks Slow Cooker Vegetable Beef Stew

  1. Place beef and vegetables in slow cooker.

  2. Mix McCormick's Slow Cookers Vegetable Beef Stew Seasoning Mix with 3 cups of water until blended. Pour over beef and vegetables, cover.

  3. Cook 8 hours on LOW. Stir before serving.
