Suitable for use on a detox diet. Serving size: 1 tbsp.

Recipe Ingredients for Mayonnaise

3 egg yolks
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 c flaxseed oil
1/2 c canola oil
2 tbsp water
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/2 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Mayonnaise

  1. Pasteurize the egg yolks with lemon juice as outlined here: http://culinaryarts.about.com/od/eggsdairy/ht/pasteurize_eggs.htm

  2. Add yolks to a food processor and mix, slowly drizzling in the two oils until emulsified. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Spoon into a sanitized glass container and keep refrigerated up to 4 weeks.
