A wonderful and easy Masoor Dal recipe.

Recipe Ingredients for Masoor Dal

1 serving Masoor Dal
1/2 cup chopped raw Vidalia Onion
1/2 cup Organics Organic Cut Green Beans
1 large (3" to 4-1/4" dia.) Potatoes, Boiled
1 serving Extra Virgin Olive Oil
0.071 oz Mustard Seeds
0.5 tsp Chili Seasoning
1 tsp Turmeric, Ground
1 tsp Sea Salt
4 clove Garlic
1/4 cup slices (1" dia) Ginger Root
2 medium whole (2-3/5" dia) Tomatoes, Red, Ripe

Recipe Directions for Masoor Dal

Saute onion in olive oil until onion becomes transparent. Add all spices except mustard seeds. Cut into small pieces Roma tomatoes and add to the onion mixture. Rinse Masoor Dal in colander and add to the onion mixture. Add 3 cups water and bring to a boil. Once the mixture comes to a boil....stir...lower heat and allow to cook for one hour, stirring occasionally. Once Dal is cooked, turn off heat. In a small pan, heat a small amount of olive oil. When the oil is hot, add the Mustard Seeds and cook on medium heat until all seeds have popped. Pour over Dal, stir and serve.
