This is a nice side dish to go with your dinner. It is light and low fat, so you can have many quantities of it. The amount of fat inside of these Mashed Potatoes is very low compared to normal ones. They also contain a low cholesterol marking for normal dinner foods, and is convenient to make. It is also low in sodium, while being high in fiber and very high in vitamin C. This is a totally good snack, and it is very high in potassium. It is an easy dinner snack, as well as a tasteful one.

Recipe Ingredients for Mashed Patatoes

1 1/4 pounds potatoes
1/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth, warmed
1/4 cup reduced fat sour cream
1 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
1 Salt
1 Freshly ground black pepper

Recipe Directions for Mashed Patatoes

Place patatoes on a steamer, with water under. Cover and steam the patatoes for 15 min.Take the patatoes out and start mashing them, while adding the chicken broth. After add the sour cream and chives together and start mixing well. Add pepper to have some flavor with the food. This meal is wonderful to have at dinner, without the fear of damage towards your body.
