Makes 4 servings



No added fat. Instead of adding a pat or two of butter, I drain all but 1/4 cup of the cooking water from the pot and mash the spuds. Cooking the garlic with the potatoes adds a really nice flavour :D

Recipe Ingredients for Mashed Garlic Potatoes

4 potatoes, peeled and quartered
5 garlic cloves, peeled
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup 2% milk

Recipe Directions for Mashed Garlic Potatoes

  1. Cover potatoes and garlic with water and bring to boil.

  2. When potatoes are fork tender, drain, leaving about 1/4 cup of the cooking water in the pot.

  3. Mash potatoes using an up and down motion, add salt and milk and mash til nice and smooth :D
