If you want a substitute for mashed potatoes here is a healthier alternative... Cauliflower!!!! Also, for those who are vegans, here is an alternative for spaghetti sauce. And, those who love turnips but can't find a way to eat them because of the bitterness, here is a recipe for you as well.

Recipe Ingredients for Mashed Cauliflower with Vegetable

1 cup of cauliflower
7 Brussels sprouts
1/4 cup zucchini
1/4 cup squash
1 small turnip
1 tsp. soy sauce
1/4 cup onions
1/2 cup tomatoes
1/4 cup eggplant
1/4 cup baby portabello mushrooms
1/2 cup asparagus

Recipe Directions for Mashed Cauliflower with Vegetable

Take the cauliflower and boil it in salted water for about 15 min or until it is tender. In another pot put the brussels, zucchini and squash, and asparagus to steam. It is a side dish. In a frying pan place the sliced turnips to fry until they are golden then add the soy sauce and allow to simmer for about five minutes. For the meat sauce: cut the eggplant into small cube pieces, slice the mushrooms, onions and garlic and place in a frying pan to sautee until they are soft. Add tomato paste and allow to simmer. Add italian seasoning for a little spruce and black pepper as well. Allow to sautee for about 10 min on low, you can add a thickner to allow the sauce to get a little thick. After the cauliflowers are finished boiling, apply salt and pepper, basil or italian seasoning and place in a blender or food processor. Run until the cauliflower has the consistency of mashed potatoes. If you want you can add a little almond milk or soy milk. Not much. Place on plate and enjoy!
