Recipe Ingredients for Masala Gosht

28 oz. stewed tomatoes
10 cloves garlic
5 T ginger
1/3 c nonfat yogurt
2 lb chuck roast
2 c onions chopped
16 green cardamom pods
2 T turmeric
1 T chilli pepper
2 T cumin
2 c cilantro leaves
1 1/2 cup raw brown rice

Recipe Directions for Masala Gosht

  1. Puree tomatoes, garlic, ginger, and yogurt and pour into crock pot;

  2. Saute onions and spices and brown beef, add to crock pot;

  3. stir in cilantro leaves at serving, over basmati rice,

  4. alternative: add basmati rice to crock pot 40 minutes prior to serving, ;

  5. also excellent with Lamb ribs!!!
