Family recipe - excellent - no grease or oil soaked if cooked in a deep fat fryer. Cheese whiz is optional.

Recipe Ingredients for Maryland Style Crab Cakes

1 lb crab meat, canned
1 Onion, small
4 stalk,+small+5"+long Celery
6 Eggs, Hard Boiled
2 Eggs
1/4 cup bread crumbs, plain
2 tbsp parsley, dried

Recipe Directions for Maryland Style Crab Cakes

  1. Pick crab meat to remove bones.

  2. Coarsely chop onion, celery and hard boiled eggs in a hand grinder or food processor.

  3. Add eggs, breadcrumbs, salt & pepper to taste .

  4. Mix all ingredients & form cakes using a 1/3 cup measure and coat with bread crumbs.

  5. Deep fry crab cakes in peanut oil at 350 degrees for 4 minutes or until browned.

  6. Drain on paper towels.

  7. Serve with melted cheese whiz.
