Spicy, tomato-based crab soup. Delicious and filling!

Recipe Ingredients for Maryland Crab Soup

522 g. del monte diced tomatoes, no salt added (2 cans)
3 c. water
153 g. celery
84 g. onion
25 g. garlic
5 g. vegetable oil
450 g. canned lump crabmeat (1 can)
600 g. frozen mixed vegetables (1 large bag)
3 tbsp. old bay seasoning

Recipe Directions for Maryland Crab Soup

  1. Combine tomatoes (with liquid), celery, onion, water and boullion in large pot. Bring to a boil.

  2. Simmer about 10 minutes or until celery and onion are tender. If desired, blend a portion of this mixture with an immersion blender or food proccessor for a thicker texture.

  3. Add crab, veggies and old bay. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.

  4. Simmer approx 1 hour or until vegetables are soft and desired consistency is reached.

  5. **Note: The longer it simmers, the better the soup is! Feel free to add more or less Old Bay to adjust to your personal tastes.
