Recipe Ingredients for Marsala Walnut Sauce

20 serving Cooking Wine
6 tbsp chopped Shallots
11.979 oz Walnuts Chopped
20 serving Vintage Cooking Wine
8 fl oz Wine, Table, White
16 oz Butter
1 oz Sage

Recipe Directions for Marsala Walnut Sauce

  1. 6 Tbls Shallots, chopped

  2. 1 C Walnuts, toasted and crushed

  3. 5 C Marsala cooking wine

  4. 2 C White Wine

  5. 1 lb Cold Butter, cubed

  6. 1 bunch Sage, chopped

  7. Method:

  8. 1. Cook the shallots and hazelnuts in a medium sized saucepan

  9. 2. When the shallots become translucent add all of the Marsala and white wine and begin reducing. Reduce until there is about two cups of liquid remaining

  10. 3. Reduce heat to a high simmer and begin adding the butter very slowly stirring all of the time

  11. 4. Once all of the butter has been melted into the sauce, add the sage.
