An Asian style salad with homemade dressing. It is best to serve the dressing separately if you expect to have leftovers, as it does not keep well once the dressing is on. Something like Mrs. Dash might substitute if you can't find the Aunt Jane's Crazy Salt, but I have not tried this.

Recipe Ingredients for Marla's Asian Salad

1 head lettuce, torn up
4 large green onions, chopped
3 oz rice noodles, dry
3/4 cup almonds, sliced and roasted
1/2 cup canola oil
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp pepper
1 1/2 tbsp poppy seeds
1 tbsp salt, Aunt Jane's Crazy Salt

Recipe Directions for Marla's Asian Salad

  1. Place lettuce, onions, noodles and almonds in a large salad bowl.

  2. In a small jar, combine oil, vinegar, sugar, pepper, poppy seeds and Crazy Salt. Seal jar and shake until emulsified.

  3. Pour dressing over salad in bowl and toss well.
